Whats a good price for a D60 Detroit?

Been keeping my eye out for a good used Detroit for my "new" front 60.

35-spline (obviously), low gears (5.38's).


Whats a good going rate for a used unit?
What a good price for a new one (don't want to waste a bunch of folks time calling for pricing on something I'm not going to buy right away).

What should I be looking out for?

used 350.00-450.00 new not sure now.... but mine was 600.00 new a couple years back....If you can find a 30 spline cheap and swap side gears they are around 100 per side gear.

I paid $300 for my barely used 35 spline detroit on ebay.

$539 shipped is the best price I've seen for new.
