I just found out that I might be sent to South Carolina for a year at the end of this month on special assignment (for work). So, Im wondering are there any decent places to wheel there? If so, since work will pay to move my crap, I might send my junk, buy a decent tow rig / trailer and do some wheelin S. Carolina style... :cool: When the assignment is over, then I could pack up my chit and drive it all back.

Granted its only for a year or so, but If there isnt any good places to go, then I might have to just shoot myself. :;

Not sure but ill ask a guy i work with tomorrow, he moved here from S. carolina.

Where ya work?

**** if your not in wash you can wheel anywhere its not gated off! Nobody will turn you in, they will just ask for a pull off the whiskey.:corn:

Theres a reason rockwells are popular down there.:beer:

Yeah i would ask him today but he left early because he does not work fridays so they gave him half day today for good friday even though its thursday. I think he lived in greenville also :looser: lol

I dont care what anyone says about Washington, it can rain all it wants here i will still like it more than any other place. I would rather deal with the rain than some nasty humidity or something along those lines.

Yeah my wifes uncle just got moved to italy i think he works for boeing too.

Going to get the new 787 line going ha.

I knew I shouldnt have mentioned in my resume that one of my hobbys was building plastic model airplanes.... :redneck:

All kiddin aside, Im not sure yet if Im going as I havent decided if I will accept the offer but should know more next week. Wheelin will play a HUGE part of my decision.... :;

Same here....this is not a matter of me wanting to go there, its more a business decision which is just temporary so I would be back if I did decide to go.

Its official....got the call today. :booo:

They want me there Monday 4/20....wtf? That dont give me much time to get my chit ready....

Oh well, now it looks like SN Fab can build my buggy turn key! :;

Yeah, I found out that Tellico is closed till 2011....but Ive also found other places that are pretty cool. Harlan, River Rock, Grey Rock and Gulches just to name a few. These places range between 45min to 5 hr drive from where I will be so not too bad.

If it's not also on your list, Windrock in TN is pretty cool. Has the longest continuous boulder crawl in the states from what I understand. I've been on it and it wouldn't surprise me if it is the longest :cool:

I know lots of people that wheel in the south grey rock, hot springs, morris mtn, etc let me know if you would like to wheel with them? They always put on a show Woody from Mississippi, Brian Cole, Dan Dibble which doesnt wheel much now but he is still in the loop

Most definately....I hope to have my rig finished within a month, then have it trucked down to SC. By then, I will be settled in and should have my tow rig and trailer purchased. I will shoot you an email with my contact info so you can forward it onto them.

Thanks, Bill
