• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

When's the next Hardline meeting???

I thought meetings were 1st Monday of every month, which would be today. No clue really though. Maybe meetings have become like Hardline Rides, MIA ;D

I cannot make it tonight, offsite client work all week in the middle of nowhere an hour away from home.

Jamie has class tonight. So it will just be me. If it's just the 3 of us, let's meet closer to B'ham. Though I don't have much club business to talk about. I just wanted to make sure that we (Jamie and I) were up to date with duties for RBD. Let me know what you guys want to do. Amie ;)

I really needed to discuss a good bit with the entire club about RBD. However with three jobs and school I just don't have time for this particular meeting. I need volunteers to help run the event bad. We have discussed that Hardline will get a portion of the proceeds after expenses, I'm not trying to be mean but I might rather just put it in the pockets of the HL members who volunteer.

BTF is running the comp, but that's only two guys. Jey has left BTF, Josh and Ike will be on vacation so that leaves James and Jason. James may be a dad the week before RBD so he may even be out. We will need at least 10 people in total for Saturday. 4 at the gate, 4 on primos, and 2 handling the parking/spectators.

I'll be rounding up some friends to help out, but I need people I can count on as I'll be busy with Pirate4x4 coverage.

My advice, so take it or leave it, and I am sure you will chose the later. But if you are struggling to staff the event why are your covering it for Pirate? Seems like you would focus on putting on the event and not covering it for a website. I mean what is the priority to have a successful event, or to "be famous" on PBB.

That said I cannot even commit to attending much less helping out, wife has a retreat that weekend so if I come it will just be for the comp.

I believe that A well organized event will go smoothly with minimal effort
of the workers. I am doing the work up front like marking trails, parking areas, one ways, etc. I am a photographer and I am hired to shoot this event, I need every penny I can get to pay for my expenses to set up this thing. I'll have koozies, stickers, concessions, etc.

When I originally planned to have this as an open event, it was going to be a hardline run event, so I haven't been planning for it to be a one man show.

Thanks John, tk, Jamie,amie, and
my dad for volunteering to help, shouldn't be hard.

Ricky is already famous. This seems to be an oppurtunity for HC to get some positive publicity, considering the exposure.
I've not had a dog in any of the recent disagreements. Both Ricky and the club are important to me and I want to see both thrive. Ricky is doing well as the club seems to be faltering. My perception of the problem is our small numbers coupled with apathy.
I'm not sure if I'm a pot or a kettle, but I know I've missed some rides this year due to financial constraints. I have made all the meetings and work days as I feel I should as member.
The club needs more positively thinking and acting members. I, for one, see apathy being the demise of the club and soon if something doesn't change.
I think it's great that Ricky gets to do something he enjoys (photography) on his birthday and provide coverage for pay. I know I'll be working to make this event a success.
Like my grandmother said "If you have nothing good to say, say nothing."

I was not being negative, just simply asking the question that if he is worried about staffing the event then maybe he should focus on that. That is why I said my advice, take it or leave it. I understand the need for publicity, but in a bind that goes out the window.

The club is not much of anything right now. Nobody can committ to rides, and without events and fellowship there is no club.

I will be out of town so thats why I haven't offered to help. No RBD for me this year.

There are two workdays before the event. Does everybody have plans those days too?
