So I looked into the Pro Tec skate helments, and those made me look even more stupid than I already am :flipoff1: I would like to look at the motorcycle helmets without the full faces, similar to what I have seen some harley riders wearing. Harley shop maybe be a good bet, any other places locally I can go try some helments on?

Screw ICON, go around the corner to Cycle Gear... all the do is accesories and protection. They will be alot cheaper and have the same stuff !!! Cool lil shop in the strip mall directly behind ICON and in the corner near that Subway across from Hooters ;D

two things to mention to you guys. 1 GIRO makes bicycle helmets that are real light and breathable that have a light plastic full face that is pretty nice. another group known as 616 (i believe i will dbl check) makes a full face bicycle helmet with more of a motocross look but fits much tighter to your head and isnt near as bulky as a regular motorcycle helmet. i know you guys dont want full face helmets but you might just take a look. i use a GIRO for all of my hardcore mountain bike riding. just a thought

its actually 661 and bell also makes some bicycle helmets like what i was talking about. you can take a look at www.pricepoint.com

The Evolution in OD green is all me !!! ;D I still really like the Pro-tec one in OD green Wish I could find a place to test fit one...

****'s sporting goods in Hoover has protec or you can measure your melon and order online. Those skate helments are so thick and then they just stop at the ears. They make me look goofier than ****, plus I want the DOT approved stuff..

Yea, we all know you dont need any more help in the goofier than **** department either :flipoff1:

Aight, I bought one today. So that when I need it, I have it. I got a red Pro-Tec classic in XL for $35 something with tax.
I wanted the Steve Cabalero red one which is an ACE model helmet. But figured **** I'm here, its $35 bucks, I save the shipping, and blah blah, and they didn't have the "cooler" one in stock.

I wore it around for better part of an hour, and damn its comfortable, and non obtrusive. I literally almost forgot I had it on. I even banged my head against a coupel things to "TRY" it out. Yep, saved the noggin good. I think its perfect for "billy goating" around on trails spotting, or taking pics. I think I busted it 2 dozen times in Clayton on slick rocks, and am lucky I didn't bounce my head off one.

No a rust colored one would match your rig, not sure they make that style though.....

Flat black was all they had, and the gloss Black bell was sillier looking that the Pro Tec

Yeah Bell's are silly large. The Pro-Tec is very low profile and super soft/comfortable.
Yeah Kelly needs a rust bucket colored one.
