Where to get parts? Size

Ok where is a good place to find out the part specs for my truck? like now im looking for the rear drive shaft for my 2004 ranger and i cant find a place (googling) where they tell me the shaft over all dimention or a bolt pattern.

Also where are some good places both online and in person (junk yards?) to get parts?
