Who to call for cutting down a front axle?

there is a guy here in fed way that has done mine a quite a few other I know, he runs $125 to cut down and adjust knuckles at the angle you want. 50 bucks ea to cut and respline axles also..

I have heard Dean actually takes axles to him and marks them up... through the grape vine..

PM me if you want a number

Kill two birds with one stone and get H1 offset wheels with beadlocks. No narrowing then. If you run driveflanges then that shortens the "locking hub" area almost a couple inches per side also.

Try Dean @ Bent Metal Customs. Tell him Tony Fox sent you. He's taken great care of my narrowing.

X2.....Dean does his own work. Damn good work at that. He might have to send the shafts out for re-splining. Not sure if he's got a mill yet?

He had a mill over a year ago. Dean did very good work for me, he was quick and reasonably priced(considering everyone else was months out for the work i needed)

OK.....I guess I should have been more specific, If he has a rotary axis to cut splines? He did my front 60 and the long side is custom, he had to have them done OP.
He set the housing up to my castor/pinion angle specs and it drives awesome. I've bought 44 hi-steer arms from him and am getting ready to buy 60 HSA's from him as well. He also suupplied my 60/½ ton front caliper brackets as well. Excellent work.

Thats all? I thought it was mucho bucks to narrow down. It's pocket change in comparison. *re-thinking things...* Thanks.

It's not rocket science....everyone is doing it so prices are good.

I'm guessing the really $$$ comes from the custom shafts. Also, I'm sure that price is for the bare front housing. If it came preassembled I'm sure it would be more

Re-splining the axleshafts botches up the strength of the shafts does it not? Perhaps it is interweb fiction?
