Happened in Orrville, AL. I thought it may have been a fake attention getting story on the book of faces, but upon a little Googling, it appears to be legit with names and local news websites having written articles on it....and of course this Youtube vid from it airing on the news.

Crazy gunman busts up in a Dollar General waving a gun around and starts herding people toward the break room for who knows what reason. One of the gentlemen had a pistol in a concealed carry holster and was able to take the gunman by surprise and shoot him in the chest, fatally wounding him. **** yeah! Best thing that could have happened. If you can't maintain yourself no better than that in such a free and easy, livable society, a fatal bullet wound is much better than taking up space in our prison systems and burning tax payer's dollars for a long time or maybe even a short time, to just be released and pull another dumbass stunt like this. One less idiot to worry about.

Amen! Couldn't have said it better myself :indianajones:

Yehaw!! I like Ted Nigent's line "I don't want repeat offenders, I want dead Offenders!"

Re:

I just hope the man that saved the day doesn't end up in more trouble than the criminal would have!!

Re:

I knew the gunman and went to high school with him. He's had some problems but had never been in trouble and just snapped when he saw someone keyed his truck when he was inside. He went inside screaming at the five people to try to find out who did it and drew his gun for some reason. He was white and they were all black and apparently there had been a lot of vandalism to the vehicles of white people. One moment of stupidity can cost you.

Re: Re: Why concealed carry pays off....

If someone pulls a gun and waves it hollering, I would feel that my life is in danger, color or nationality would have no bearing on it, nor do I think anything like that would even come to mind. The armed citizen should get rewarded for saving lifes, he is a true hero. I hate that your school mate lost his life, but damn glad that someone was packing and stopped him before innocent bystanders became on number on a body bag.

homerun for the 2nd amendment! Too bad this won't get as much media coverage as it would if the outcome would have been opposite… thanks for sharing..

Moral of the story a gun doesn't make you a ****ing bad ass don't pull that **** out unless you want to get shot!!!

or unless you plan on shooting NOW. Not later, not threatening, NOW. Only pull to fire.

This is the truth. I carry everyday, everywhere 100% of the time. I hope I will never be in a position to have to use my gun. I can guarantee one thing mine will never come upholstered UNLESS I am fully committed on shooting to protect my life or the life of someone else.

x2

Loss of life is never a good thing, generally speaking, especially when discussed from an outsider's view that had no firsthand part in the situation. Best way to look at it is: what if it was you, your kids, or other family members in there.

If someone keyed my car/truck, you can bet I'd be mad as a hornet, but the last thing on my mind would be to bust in a public store and start waving a gun at a bunch of strangers. Too much of that crazy **** is on the news with not-so-good endings, so I would automatically assume you're about to massacre us all and would have done the exact same thing....and not lost the first damn bit of sleep over it.

I carry everyday to and pray I never have to use it. It's better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.

Carry everyday, everywhere. If the place has one of those signs up that says you can't carry in there then your best bet is to carry in there too. Fawk it! If you can walk in with a gun and nobody notices then bad guys can too and they will because they think they'll get to shoot fish in a barrel.

Absolutely!

If you CC then noone should ever know you have it anyway unless you need to use it.

And it's just as illegal for them to search you if you don't give them a reason as it is for you to carry it.
