I finished putting my front end back together this morning, threw on some H2's and got ready to do some burnouts. I got about 50 yards up the drive started the burnout and smoke was a rolling then the motor stopped. I tryed to start it again and it did nothing. As I rolled back down the drive I saw what looked to be water on the asphalt then realized it was oil. My oil cooler line came off and I guess I locked up my motor. Actually I know I locked up my motor. Why doesn't this **** happen to shitty cars you hate to drive and always happens to stuff you love to drive? Does anyone have a cheap sbc. I am going to look at one tomorrow out of an 88 pickup. He wants 5 bills for the truck minus the bed.

a friend of mine has a vortec 350 for $500 if you interested, not sure of any details but I can find out.

I would like to go that route, but I think I am going to stick with the TBI to eliminate my down time. I am hoping to see the other truck today, and I believe it's a direct swap.
A little OT, but did you lower the roofline like you said you wanted to? if so... pics!
Yes I did, it looks alot better. I don't like the front very much, but I am going to strech it a little and then put on some scout skins and it should bring a smile to my face. I'll be at MM this weekend. You and your dad coming out to help with the new trails?

the Vortec motor should still work no problem......just use your TBI stuff on that motor and you will have good motor with the vortec heads....

Not this upcoming weekend, we're heading to coal creek. I'd like to go over the weekend of the 17th and help get things ready though.

If ya'll are going to windrock hit rail trail first then hit rattle rock. No matter which one you run first it will take most of the day to run them both. They are two of my favorite trails. If rattle rock is dry hour ,hour and half if it's wet who knows.
Got the other truck, should be back in buisness by Miercoles.
