wicked wheel 2/ riffraff diesel compressor wheel

Have any of y'all 7.3 guys upgraded your compressor wheel in your turbo, if so which brand wheel and was it worth doing???

I installed one from Dieselsite.com, and it does spool quicker, has more of a whistle, but it seems it spools up and EGT's get high quick on hills. I like it for straight but not impressed while hauling the trailer and rig.

I kept my stock one just in case.

I put on a ts tuner and I am getting a lot of turbo surge.

the wicked wheel is used for only gettin rid of turbo surge on stock turbo. it does spool quicker an it sounds cool to but you actually lose 1-2 lbs boost with it.

the wicked wheel 2 is more for performance an also gets rid of turbo surge but its bout $200 more than the wicked wheel 1. heard of guys making 30 lbs with stock turbo an sticks with wicked wheel 2... if thats true then the turbo wont take it long. the factory turbo is only posed be good for around 25 lbs. if your plannin on buyin a WW2 then id go ahead an spend another $1000 an get a 38R ball bearing turbo

I had a wicked wheel on my old SD. I was happy with. I think I maxed at about 17-18 lbs of boost with it. That truck pulled awesome. It had that, 5" exhaust and an I take. I loved the sound of it. New truck doesn't make near the power w the stock turbo and the same mods.
