will Ford 8 lug rim fit Chevy 8 lug?

but will a 2002 F350 Ford bolt pattern - 8x170mm fit my 78 GMC 8 lug?

8 on 6.5 is what you need.

Yeah, the newer fords use a metric lug pattern that is not equivalent to 8 on 6.5 (which is what dodge, chevy and older fords use).
