So i sold my jeep and bought a buggy. The guy has side panels but they are not finished. I was thinking plxiglass 1/8" for the windows and windshield. The side windows would need to be hinged with a latcch. I plan to make a heater core in a small aluminum box with a computer fan on the back for a heater.

ANy ideas on what else to do for winter? How have you guys mounted your plxiglass? I dont want to drill holes in the buggy. I will weld on tab to mount the glass but dont have all the items needed yet. So is there a good way one of you know how to attach the glass as a temp idea.

Look at SpeedGlas for the windshield. Little more expensive, but a lot more durable and does not scratch easy and does not cloud up. Research on Plexiglass and Lexan, I am no expert, but some of them can break into shards like regular glass. Be sure to pick one with safety in mind.

I will look into that. Mabye i could find some type of film to put on the plxiglass if i get it.

Thanks those were the exact clamps i was thinking about using. I just had no clue on the name.

Clear window film over the plexiglass could help a lot. Not sure howw durable it would be.
I have a plexiglass windshield in my Jeep. NOT speed glass.
It has tons of scratches and I am basically blind if driving into the sun.

Look on the Harlan hardline ride thread towards the end. Few buggy guys made tops/windows at home. They showed some marine website for where they got supplies. I saw 1 in person at Harlan and it was nice!

I'd considered it before, I was thinking a flat plate frame with 6 bolt holes and the lexan clamps/bolts/glues in it. Super simple, just flat plate Weld 6 tabs on your chassis for the windshield.
Scott Morris just helped or did build a red buggy with swinging window nets, be same deal for swinging windows, JT taylor had them, Mitch Guthrie did on his rzr as well. Small tube frame and a latch. Make sure you can get out fast, think fire.

Ill be off looking for materials tonight. Gotta get an idea of the price of things. Saturday night i will get numbers and sizes of all materials. Mabye next weekend i can get to work on it.

I have the materials for the sides. I am going to get some new carhartt tonight. will slowly/still in a hurry work on the windshield and the doors/windows.
