I am wiring the lights in for my temp gauge on my 2004 suburban and was just wondering if anyone could tell what a good wire to tap into is on the driviers side or know where online I can look. I Want one that will dim with the dimmer switch not constant power. Any info would help, I have looked online for awhile now.

Pull your dimmer switch there's where you'll find what your looking for.

The wire you are looking for is an orange 20ga wire. If you can't find one then locate the random relay that hangs out behind the dash- that is the radio illumination relay. The orange 20ga wire on it is the instrument lighting circuit.
