Good Post John. I think the nutswinging and spectating only is getting out of hand.
I can remember when we used to go to grayrock, we would wheel our rigs with our group, and if you happened on someone beating down their rig you would stop and watch for a minute.
Get out of your truck, and maybe even (gasp) drink a beer... Stand around and talk for a minute then go on about your business, have fun with your group.
It seems like now there are 12 people in the entire parks wheeling while a hoard of people are clustered around trying to throw themselves under their tires. Did you forget you came to actually wheel Your rig...
The one you spent way more money than you should on to try to make it as cool as joe blows, and will likely break something through the course of the weekend. ;D
That general discussion thread had good intentions, but i think the guys in a pissing contest over how many dead bodies they have seen, or (No offense to you at all John) the i've seen the light alcoholics wanting to bring cops in to events and give breathalizers are as stupid as the people standing where they shouldn't. The last thing our sport needs is more rules and regulations, that's what make it cool, ( 'merica! i know, i know ) What it really needs in more common sense and people worried about their own trip instead of standing in one spot all day, getting hammered drunk, and standing 6 feet away from a 1000hp buggy.
Let Cole and Busted Knucked do what they do, go wheel your own rig, and watch the replay of the shenanigans on youtube as many times as you want...
