I'm an engine dumbass but my taurus 3.8 powered rig seems to be doing the same thing

since it's a rail type injector system, could it be the same problem?
Also running a E2000 pump
 
If you are having the same problem then yeah for sure. I would also check the mass air flow meter in it as well. The fuel volume used on some systems is different than others, but you can't ever find any information on what kind of volume you need.

I can't say that it will fix your problem but the way to tell is if you have a spare pump stack two together and see if it fixes it. If it does then the one good fuel pump will be your answer.
 
I ordered up the one you suggested and I'll bring it along this weekend to try it out if I'm still having problems

FYI advanced auto online has it for 99.99 and I got autozone to match that price in store no shipping
