Would this twist bother you?

This is my fj80 rear short side. At first I thought this twist was the cause of my e-locker not locking as it should be it's working now. I ordered cromo shafts and I'm kind thinking about canceling the order. Then again, I kind of want cromo shafts so maybe this is the excuse I need.

So, would this twist bother you at all?

Yep, that is what I would do. If you run it you will have that in the back of your mind all the time.

What twist? Looks factory to me............ Run it til it actually does break, which is a long time from now would be my guess. When was the last time you inspected?

The idea that a permanent twist is work hardening violates the tiny bit I actually know about metallurgy. I started a pirate thread about it: http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=669035

We'll see. I know it's not a bad twist but I think I'm going to get the cromo's anyway. I'm just convinced that once you bend beyond the yield strength and have a permanent twist you're weakened.

I replace mine if they are twisted two splines.........unless they break before then
