This site is incorrect when it comes to re-drilling your perches. I followed these instructions to the T and now I need to fix the problem

On the drivers side did you move the hole over 1/2" and fill the old one? Just asking because in the picture your leaf looks further away from the punkin than mine. I'm starting to wonder if your waggy D44 is completely different than my waggy D44. BTW I used that same site, among many others when I did the swap and to the best of my knowledge its all accurate.

P.S. Nice cover :awesomework:

In the picture here, the round hole on the right side of the center section, the u-bolt should come down just to the left of that hole. The leaf spring will be off the flat spot, to wards the center, by a half inch or so. 31" on center is the width. This is on my jeep though...

I would redo that silicon job, I see 3 spots there that are questionable, on the left side of the picture. One bolt hole doesnt have silicon around it.

i agree with the silicon job... you dont want that junk in the gears and with the amount on there it will squish out everywhere

you guys are killing me. :haha:

Dont worry about my silicon job. Trust me its not going to leak. What do you think happens when you mount the cover?? It squishes it everywhere. I've done plenty of diff covers in my time and never had one leak. So go worry about something else please:rolleyes:

Is it fixed? If that site is wrong enlighten us with the correct answer. What is the width of YJ vs Waggy fronts ends? I thought YJ was 31" and waggy was 32", but I'm usually wrong.

You are going to get radical flex with them like that. /\ the buggy guys run their coilovers like that why not leafs? Before you know it all the kids will be running them that way.:haha:

The camera angle makes them look like /\, but they are actually straight.

As far as the site's info. It may work for other waggy 44's but it didn't for mine. I ended up filling in the holes and welding angle shims to the perches. Made it much easier than wasting my drill bits and patience.

There was also a few clearance problems I had to overcome with the U-bolts. But I run a Dyna-trac u-bolt flip kit. I had to do a little cutting and grinding to get the ubolts to fit. Might be do to the fact that I run SUA, maybe not but, who knows. All I know is my junk is just about finished.
