I've got a buddy restoring an old '85 Chevy square body back to stock. The truck had a doubler setup and custom crossmember. He's putting a 205 back in and needs the factory shifter setup and even the stock crossmember if someone has it. Thanks

There's 2 different cross members. Older style and newer style. It depends what year 205 he's putting back in it? The old cases have a tall mount on them and use a flatter cross member. The newer cases have a short mount. I probably have both styles. The old ones use 2 separate rubber mounts and newer use a wider one piece mount

Thanks! Checking now.

So he's not entirely sure. Doing this over the phone. He's busting apart a 203/205 off road designs doubler that came in the truck so it all custom mounted right now anyway. 205 is a round pattern if that matters. He could probably make any crossmember work, he just wants it to be as stock as possible. He also needs the stock round pattern adapter from a 400 to 205 if you had it.

I probably have the parts he needs. The round pattern case should be the newer style crossmember. He may want to do some checking because he could have the wrong transmission tailshaft to just put the 205 back in. Should need a round pattern 205 with the long input shaft and a 400 trans with a 2.5 inch long output shaft. Then the400 to 205 round adapter. That would have been stock setup. But there's other combinations that will work if he has a different transmission output and doesn't want to disassemble the trans

Is he selling the doubler crossmember? If so, can you post or send a pic?

I have a crossmember and the adapter. But the adapter is still in a truck. I'm going to be parting it out soon
