wtf am I dealing with

I got this 12 bolt rear so that I could go full width and still use my 6 lug stuff. So today I go to pull the shafts out and nothing, I unbolt the backing plate and attempt to pull out (I'm used to toyota ****) well nothing. I figured a C clip somewhere so I pulled the cover and found this...

lol hell if i know... i figured i'd run the gears till they blew up and then go to a 14 bolt. But hell I'm just trying to get the shafts out.

I have no clue I can take and turn the pinion yoke and both shafts turn. Take and hold the pinion and turn one shaft you can hear/watch it "click" and the other shaft does not move.

Looks like a positive traction out of a late model truck. Pulled one a while back like that out of a early 90's chevy to put in a 50's rescue rig. It is somewhat of a pain in the ass to put back together and take apart, because of all the little things involved.

locker is foreign to me. run those gears. You can do without a tooth without any problems whatsoever.
