I was reading the thread under rides and competitions and noticed a contradiction. Matt posted first about our obligation to MM, which is as it should be. A new post today says, a matter of convenience, Matt will be going to Gray Rock to have more riding time. I assume this is some time other than Saturday. Please enlighten me.

You guys can't handle it without me? I have never missed a club function and was just trying to stay close to home and actually get to wheel because there is generally more than enough volunteers given all the friends of the park. If you are short handed I will come to MMORV, but I don't want to make it out there to sit around and do nothing because there are plenty of volunteers.

I'm sure MM could handle the job without any help from Hardline. I thought we were looking for 100% participation (as usual) and it is our only workday for the year. I, personally have missed 2 club functions due to financial constraints. Some have missed events for family. However, making a commitment only to bail at the last minute for something we would all like to do is BS. Just my opinion and may not reflect the views of other members.

How many other club members are at Gray Rock this weekend? I bet at least two, probably more. Funny how you only call out me...

My son woke up sick and has already thrown up this AM. I will be at Gray Rock so that I am close to home if I am needed. Sorry I did not choose the club this one time, if it offends you can speak with me directly about it.

Matt

I wasn't aware more members were going to GR. I only saw your post and wouldn't single you out from a group of members. If others are GR bound I still have the same sentiment. Maybe we should re-evaluate their level of commitment.

We had enough help, but more certainly would have made it much easier. From taking the money at the gate, checking arm bands at the bridge crossing, checking arm bands going into the GBU side, setting up and working the auction, it was a full day. I personally feel anyone that had a pleasure weekend and was not at MMORV let me and the club down. We did raise $1,700.00 for my charity, Shwachman Diamond.

Guys, I did not post up my attendance anywhere due to my son's baseball tournament this weekend. I did in fact go to Grayrock due to the close proximity to my house and the fact that I also had to be back and coach my team. I did leave Grayrock at 12:00 as many saw my mysterious and early departure. I would have loved to have gone to MM as I enjoy that park, but for me to drive 2 hours up and another 2 hours back would have been tough with an earlier starting time for my sons game.(1:00 p.m.) I did in fact go to HPO a few weeks back and left early, but also had a later starting time for my game. I hope and apologize to Rich and John if I have caused any ill feelings, but I had no intentions of riding anywhere due to my prior family commitments, but I felt the few hours of riding I did this weekend was acceptable. John, as far as raising funds for your charity, I have always donated as this is a great and personal cause and would like to continue to donate to it and will be in contact with you personally. Sorry if I have caused any gas pains, there were no ill ententions meant.

Sorry guys, Rich and John had changed my mind until I we woke up Saturday with a sick child (Again). No way I was going 2hrs away with him being sick. We ended up taking him to Children's South that night and if I were at MMORV I would not of made it. Sorry I missed the event and if you are mad at me then call me personally and we can discuss. My son know has the flu, so the hits just keep on coming.

I am not mad at anyone, I was simply stating that additional help would not have been just standing around. I bet I directed traffic at Los Primos for 45 minutes, there must have been 60+ vehicles there blocking everything.

I do miss MM and Los Primo's, hope to be back there before too long. :dblthumb:
