Absolutely the 1.5-2.5 ton trucks are almost always near rust free. Just cause they sat up so much higher.
The paperwork says '48 on that one, theres very little to tell the difference between '48-'53.
The big trucks also had larger fenders so they wont go on a 3100 (1/5 ton frame and look right). but the cabs are fully interchangeable. That cab is the same as what I gave Paul.
I'd jump on it if it were a 5 window cab, they are the ones with the curved windows in the back corners.

My chopped top is a '40-42 since I got '42 Texas plates it became a '42 for sure. Dads stretched cab is a '49 so the same as above but a 5-window.


If you are looking for rod material, look for pre-war trucks '42 and older. They are smaller, less bulbous, and look awesome low, and fenderless.
