Jon,

I had a similar experience last week when one of the lug nuts on my car refused to budge. I tried everything! Gave it my best effort for two days! So I reluctantly went overboard and blasted it with a shotgun.

I'm expected to be released from Harrison Hosp on Sat.

:haha: I knew it.

well for the record it is a 7/16's bolt, and you need a **** load of extensions and a swivel head about 6 inches back. :redneck:

The crappy part is the CPS didn't fix the misfire:booo:

My experiences with CPS is that they work (and the engine runs) or they don't (and the engine is dead), but that it doesn't create a misfire scenario.

Does it have the ECU behind the brake booster? If it does, take that apart. Notice the varnish on the connections. There is your problem. I don't know what year they changed it over. But I had an 88 with that problem.

misses all the time, ilde, whenever.

I've changed injectors, plugs, cap and rotor, and CPS. I'll have to take a look at your Idea Karl.

Jon, are you throwing more parts at the problem with no idea what the problem actually is? I thought you'd have learned by now...

Asuming you have spark at all 6 plugs, get a noid light set and check for pulse at the injector. Also, I squirt brake fluid on the exhaust manifold just down from the head.. if it doesn't instantly burn off, that cylinder isn't firing/ getting fuel. I've had a couple 4.0 engines with a bad injector that acts just like an ignition problem.

Hope this helps.
