XJ suspension Q's

I plan to lift my xj around 3" to 4" my question is im building a winch bumper and throwing a winch on it. Should I run a hd coil or a standard coil 1" taller than the lift I want?..

Also I plan to put s-10 springs under my xj most people cut the eyes off and stack them on the xj main leaf. the shackle angle is is about vertical I was wondering if I could run the whoe s-10 pack and just redrill the the center pin hole and move it fowards since it sits 2" further back than the xj leaves. Anybody done something like this with good results or maybe bad results. Found nothing on my search.. ill lift it around 4" if I buy lower control arms but not really in the budget..

If I do lower control arms which are the best to get for the price? looking at rough country and rusty's they are around 175$

The easiest (and probably cheapest) way to go is to get a kit that comes with springs and lower control arms. I'd stay away from add-a-leafs, mine ride crappy.

I don't know if the weight of a winch makes any difference or not.

im not running a winch yet but my front sits a bit higher then my rear. in the rear i have 4.5 " RE with long Shackles. as for the front i have skyjacker 6" with rusty long arm kit. hears a pic. it work good flexs like crazy.
