YJ battery hold down

I know I have seen a battery tray on a YJ but I can't recall.

On the CJ/YJ tub swap I need to get a YJ battery tray due to the difference between the tubs. One thing I can't tell is how the battery hold down is setup. I can find the tray fairly cheap but no info regarding the hold down and the part doesn't state it comes with it.

I can find stuff for a TJ easily.

Universal j-bolt style hold down works fine with the YJ tray.

I haven't followed that build really, is it a restoration or a wheeler? I like using this one in combination with the factory tray:

It will be a trail rig so a stock setup will work. Just not sure how they hold the battery to the tray.

Sent from my phone. Sorry, it's twisted 90*. 1992 YJ, with a small overflow bottle in front (for T-case vent), and trickle charger hooked up.

Thanks tony. I could not find a decent pic anywhere except dual battery setups or TJ's.

I have an extra YJ tray...I also have a dual battery tray (universal) set up for Optimas...

I do not, hoever, have the crossbar, or holddown bolts...
I'd just make the crossbar from some 3/8" plate aluminum...And yes, universal J-bolts work on a YJ tray...Get the good 5/16" units though...Or build a set of studs from allthread, and some nuts to lock in place...:awesomework:
