I dont know how much work you want to do but a drivetrain swap is a bit of work. Granted with it being a yj the front axle bolts in and the rear is just moving the perches, but the 2.5 is fuel injested so you would have to regulate the pressure down for a carbed 327 or 350. Personally I dont see anything wrong with your idea if you had the intentions of upgrading later(to f-i, and a d60 front) the 10 bolt will last longer than the d30 but it depends on how big you want to go also. If you plan 33s then I say go for it, but if you want 37s or bigger(you will want bigger) then just sell them both and buy one rig to build.
