Yj front link help

I am looking for some help I am gathering parts and trying to find some options about the front link set ups. I can fab and weld and know my way around a shop I just haven't done any suspension linking before and just need some guidance on someone who has done it or at least knows about it I am looking for something that with take abuse I already have 1 1/4 Heims and looking at ordering a artex front truss with ram mount the axle is a 79 ford hp planning on switching to full hydro as well so any info about orbital would be nice as well. I any running a yj with 350 and th350 to np231 I have tucked the motor and trans almost flat with frame rails also running 39.5 tires would like to have the jeep sit as low as it currently does and wondering what type of shocks/strut/shock and length sorry about the long winded post just figured it would be easier to ask someone here than try to reinvent the wheel. Thank for any help
 
I would advise linking the rear first just from a learning standpoint. Fronts are a bit tougher due to the engine and packaging everything in place.
I have 14" coilovers on the front and rear of my YJ, anything longer would require them to come through the hood.
If you do go front first I would do straight or slightly triangulated lowers and triangulated uppers. Having a 79 60 will make things easier for the driveshaft clearing the links.
Keep digging and looking at rigs, most people don't mine you checking out their work if your not a **** about it.
 
Yea I have been looking it is hard to see any good clear pics and most people make it sound like freakin rocket science I am sure I could just play with it and figure it out but that is kinda what I was looking for people like yourself that have some experience with these setups also I am wanting to push my front out to have a zero approach angle and not a lot of good write ups on the front stretched out. Thanks for the input
 
It is not rocket science for sure but you do need a solid plan. The link calculators on Pirate are good for building and checking pinion angle changes and whatnot. In general longer lower links up to about 40" that are almost flat when looking from the side. Short, steep links cause problems. Upper links were the hardest for me to fit in.
 
How long were your lower links and your upper links also how much is your stretched to the front also how much up travel
