yj wiring diagram

So I just replaced my wiring harness in my yj only problem is the cps connector was different. I was just going to splice the old connector to the new harness but, all three wires are different colors and of course the one time I need my chilton manual it dosent have the correct diagrams I need. My jeep is a 93 and the harness is from a 92 dose anyone have the diagrams I need so I can get this beast running.

I don't have the specific wiring diagram that you are looking for. That said, when we did my YJ build we ran into similar issues when swapping parts between years of YJs. I was able to post in the YJ technical section of jeepforum.com and someone quickly posted the schematics that I needed.

92 and 93 should be the same...The 91's were kinda their own breed in the YJ's so I'm told..., while the 90 and earlier are different altogether (Renix)...

Jeep knowledge fail. '90 and earlier XJ only were Renix 4.0s. YJ's were carbureted '87-90. :fawkdancesmiley:

so what I`ve gathered is 91-92 are the same and 93-95 were the same i was able to chase down some diagrams through google and pirate and got it running the big differance from what I can tell is just the routing of the harness around the engine but all the connections are the came except the crank sensor

Yes, I do know the YJ's are carbed up to 90, (as well as 4.2L not 4.0 Matt!)
...just crossed my data between the two is all when writing what I did! It made sense in my head! :fawkdancesmiley: :haha:
