Yota buggy not running in MOAB!!!

87 22rte engine. Blew another intake gasket, repaired it and now it's sputtering BAD. Ran fine before the fix. Replaced fuel pump, both filters, checked all kinds of things. Been out here for 3.5 days and haven't wheeled more than 3miles or so. Can't find any vac leaks or other leaks

Took the fuel return line off to make sure there wasn't an issue there and it's now running fine. Not sure why or how long this will last but I'll take it. Already lost 2.5 days out here

Damn...I know the feeling. I pulled my Samurai rig out to Grand Junction to wheel with a buddy and unloaded it to drive to the gas station before hitting a trail. It ran great to the station...filled it up and went to pull out of the parking lot and it DIED. We replaced fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, checked just about everything we could think of and ended up finding out that it was the fuse that provides power to the stock ECM...but it wasn't blown...it was just "loose". Man was I pissed...threw a zip tie around it and it's been working fine for the last 3-4 years.

Damn...i just saw this post...got a good friend out there now in his yota buggy. Hes a mechanic by trade and full on trail repair guru. If u have any more troubles drop me a line and ill give u his number. Good luck!

Thanks man. Buggy has been good. I held back on the hot tubs today. We've lost a couple driveshafts, a 14bolt r&p and a D60 r&p. I'm running steering LP D60s in mine. We got the others fixed but with my luck I don't want to be next, lol. Been having a good time blasting down some trails. This place is awesome but I'm looking forward to wheeling some REAL slick rocks back home

Cool...glad its been workin good for ya! Sounds like u guys been having fun. I have never been to moab ...wanted to go this year but couldnt block out that much time.. Im sure my buddy will be giving me a hard time about it when he gets back lol. You guys have fun...stay safe.
