Hey guys, Need some input and some guidance.
1993 grand v8 231tcase protection is all built. 33'' cooper stt's stock axles.
It is driven to trails, but have a DD also.

Trying to figure out where to go for axles. I had talked myself into a HP30 eaton elocker 4.56's with 8.8 rear aussie locked. That i came across a 44 out of a waggy, thought i wanted to put that in there, than i got a 300$ offer so i profited my 250 and sold it.

Now i am looking at 60's/14 or a 9'' d44combo. and cant decide. i really only want to invest this once. The fabrication is no problem.
I will be wheeling all over the PNW this summer so it has to be drivable.

Whats your advice guys, with my current 33'' tires builty hpd30/8.8 combo or am i just really burning my money? or poney up and go big? Hopefully you understand post, i'm a little torn on the topic. thanks matt

What size tires are you going to be shooting for??

Will it still be driven to and from trails?

It all depends on your budget also, you can get on the trail quicker with d44's. If your going to swap in 60/14 bolt combo, it will be worth it in the long run, but it is less that likely that you will get it on the trail this summer.

Personally, IMO, you should have kept the waggy 44, and done either a 9", 44 or 60 rear end.

you should pm horus on here, i think hes got the 44 front and pounds it. from what ive read, the 44 is not really worth it, if your breaking 30 parts often, just jump to 60s.
