This is my custom motorcycle hauler.

All that's left to do is weld on a lip to use a 2X4 or 2X6 ramp, drill the pin hole for the receiver, and paint it.

What do you guys think?

Yes. You tie down the front tire and the clutch. It's for emergencies only. If you don't have any way to get it home or to the shop, this is the solution, unless you have a flat rear tire.

Plus I can use the receiver part for anything else I make.... like a custom hoist.

I plan on making a custom hoist to use with that for the bed of my truck and for use on the front as well, once I install a receiver in the front.

No, just the idea. Alot of effort for emergencies, I'd just rent a trailer. But hey, what works for you.... works for you.

See, but you can't rent a trailer if you don't have a vehicle rated to tow a trailer. They won't let you. And if you can't get a hold of anyone who can help you, then you wish you had something like this.

I don't have a tow rig, just my Yota. No one rents trailers used with those trucks. I don't have many options basically, so this is the next best thing.

I expect stuff like that to happen. I have buddies who ride and could use something like this if they had a problem.

I built it from the idea that my Goldwing might have crapped out on me anytime, but she's still going strong, I just like being ready.

I would do that if I had a vehicle rated for that weight.

Besides, isn't the tongue weight rated to only like 400-500 lbs? Like on a 1/2 ton, or 3/4 ton?

I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as there's no lubrication issues in the bike.

Good luck backing up though. I guess you could remove the tail gate and do it :redneck:
