A few of us went up to Evans today. Not much snow but really icy. Here are a few pictures. Brian tipped over on the icy 311 trail. J.P. doing a slipping and sliding himself. A fun day in all.

I thought there would be more snow up there, looks as though it's just a good dusting? Hopefully we'll get some good snow this week?

Ice is scary, even off road...looks like a good time though

The 520 has good snow.. the 311 is just really icy.

There is another flop pic #2 of the day as soon as joop posts it up.http://nw-wheelers.com/forum/showthread.php?p=332793&posted=1#post332793

Yep pretty fun day. 311 lower and upper had some nasty spots. Basically if you stopped you couldn't get going again. Then when you backed down you started sliding. So it was a ski slope.

Here's some pics

Oh it was national tire humpin day at Evan's, BTW.

First Brian and Joe pull a threesome on my tire. Joe was getting his grove on for quite some time. :eeek:

Brian gets out and Joe is still having his way with the tire. :haha:

Then it was Joe's turn to hump mine :eeek:

So I had to return the favor.

Speaking of.......how is the road up?

in the morning it was icy as hell the last 2-3 miles. My dually was sliding but kept pulling. Leaving in the afternoon, the roads were slippery, icy in spot and slushy. Oh there is some major pot holes on the road.

The staging area is compacted ice. I got as soon as I stopped.

I was up there Saturday. Had a blast on the 311 and 520. We tried to get up to the top but I almost slid my rig off the cliff right before the rock field. Definitely a good day wheelin even with the hour of shoveling snow.

I recognize one of those rigs from two weeks ago at Evans. When we saw you guys last time I had ripped off my rear track bar bracket attempting the same hill climb your flop happened on. That hill is a rollover waiting to happen when it gets icy. Yesterday I just went around the tree stump of doom. Good times.
