My new links. Uppers are 1-1/2" .250 wall DOM. Lowers are 1-3/4" x.375 wall 4130 chromo hardened to RC 39.
All have 2 1/2"Currie Johny joints with 3/4" through bolts.

No doubt that they will eventually bend but I bet these take some abuse and last a while.

Did you have the chromo links heat treated? If yes, what is the hardness before?

Yes I did. I don't think they test the material before but it should have been normalized which would be prety soft.

your 1 1/4 forged jonnys, Or your links? As ive said, Ive gone thru 6 of my jonnys, all lowers hooked to treated 1/2 wall links. I wonder if 3/8ths wall is a viable alternative really..Time will tell. I wonder what the weight diff is.
