I have an appointment with the WA State Patrol to have my new buggy inspected and assigned a vin# in a few weeks. Has anyone gone through this process before? What should I expect? I have all my receipts for my parts. Do you have any advice?

Thanks!

To get an assigned VIN on a car or truck is no big deal as long as yer lights, etc. work and nothings stolen. A buggy would seem to be a gray area since it shouldn't need to be "street legal". I'd assume they're lookin for obviously sub-par fabrication or stolen parts/pieces.

Depends on if its for plates or ORV tags.

Either one has all kinds of issues. If its going to be inspected its going to be a 2009 and will have to meet ALL emissions standards applicaple to that kind of vehicle at that date.

Theres more!:corn:

please let us know how this goes, mine is already titled but im planning on a dune buggy in the future...

Thanks! Here is a another picture and some specs:

Chromo 1.5" chassis
Turn Key 410hp LS1

Longfield/CRW D60 CV's
16" Swayaway Coilovers

and more that added up to way too much money!

The body panels are not done and painted.

Yep, Reid/Dedenbear Knucles and Inner C's. I moved here from SLC, UT. I live in Gig Harbor. ClarkW or anyone else willing to show me some good local wheeling spots where I can beat this rig?

Yes that's at reiter, it's about an hour and a half from tacoma. I've made it there in an hour, without a trailer. It's not bad at all, and if you have a buggy, it's the best place to go.

What are some other good places? I hope I get a chance to hit as many spots as I can here soon.

Thanks again!

I know it's not super close, but not bad, Naches, funnyrocks, and moonrocks. Over highway 410, about 2.5 hours drive east.

There are also a lot of closer trails like elbe, evans, tahuya, etc, but they aren't as cool in a buggy. You'd be able to run most all of them without challenge. And there is a lot of mud. But not bad to go play close by.
