302 swap

yes i am interested but would hve money for 2 moths i paying 800 a month on my quad right now so i can start this sooner what do you want for them if you still got them

Like I said I have a C4 to toy case adaptor if interested. It's from AA. Be careful with the block huggers, they might have the collector at the framerail and not fit. The longer headers got below the framerails before they collected and fit when I did it. You have to account for engine twist when quickly reved and frame twisting so a little room needs to be left.

Jesus... I thought I went a little hack on some of my 5.0 swap....:wowwow:

So, he's using the oil filter adapter that's supposed to mount to the block to feed the oil filter... :eeek:

Spend a little more and plumb it so it will last...

Shove that motor as far back to the firewall as possible. I had to cut some of the core support away but it still tucked under the hood. I don't think you want your leading edge to be your radiator. It's like walking around with your balls hanging out, keep those things tucked away, nobody wants to see it.:eeek:

ya i would love to get the t case adapter where do you live, or ill pay for shipping really interested in that... i would also like to get those headers bunk i can add on to them so the flange is lower "bunk" and let ,me know about that motor where ya live maybe i could come pick it up work something out with ya my number (360) 461 4733 make things easier instead of typing haha k2blazen but last question for the adapter to toy t case from c4 can i use short shaft? and i got the c4 from a car i guess and i was wondering if they are the same strenge built the same, like bearings and torque converter thanks

:awesomework:I live in E-burg. I used the C4 from a Comet to a toy 21 spline case. If you want the adaptor, I have the C4 to go with it (it needs a rebuild and is worth zero to me). PM and we can work out a price. It will be cheap compaired to AA.

This might help someone............the NAPA GOLD oil filter part # 7035 only protrudes from the block 2.125 inchs and is just under 3 inchs in Dia. Will do away with most peoples need for a remote filter.

when i do the fuel injection v8 what do i do for fuel system. can i take a toyota tank from fuel injection tand use all high pressure line and same pump?

The toy pump might not have enough flow for the bigger motor's needs.

There are many options for in tank pumps, they are fairly generic if you are handy. Can toss in an in-tank pump and rig it up pretty easy.

i question that too. thinking/wanting to do the same.

ive read on pirate, a few people running FI v8's in place of 4cyl, without issue. i know for sure one was a jeep 4cyl. not sure about the others. dont know if the yota pump is up to the task or not...

You can use the stock toyota tank, just wire in an external pump. TBI only needs like 15 psi, those pumps are cheap a napa. Put the pump as close to the tank as possible.

If hes still using the toy in tank pump why not put the high pressure pump closer to the engine? A 5.0 fi engine needs at least 30 psi fuel pressure. Personally, I say go with propane.

'84's didn't have a pump in the tank. You want the pump close to the tank because electric pumps push well but don't "suck" (insert joke here) well. Put it to far away and you'll have fuel delivery issues. Propane is good, the one hang up my friends have had is refueling if you're going to be wheeling for several days w/o going to town. Spare tanks are an option but not as easy as gas cans.

an FI toy pump will do that easily. for sure theres enough pressure. im guessing it will flow plenty too. i'll find out soon:redneck:

and yeh, a carb'd toy pump is a mechanical on the engine.
