So here it is another project
This is a little cabin up the road from me that I am working on
Specs of the work
Trace 2500 watt inverter / charger
6 L-16 batteries
Propane 5 KW generator
100 watt water turbine
Auto sense, auto start generator charge circuit

I know it isn't as cool as a buggie build but hope that you find it intresting

Day one

the water turbine parts are showing up
Here is the turbine wheel and motor
With the forves with me it should produce about 100 watts at 12 volts or around 7.5 amps

Here is the turbine in a rough install for testing. I am shooting for 5.25 GPM at 45 psi. 1750 RPMs is what the goal is for it. I have different nozzles from 1/16 to 3/16 in 32nd intervals to dial it in exact after it gets going

I'm using a 4D battery with 1 solar charger but need to upgrade a bit more when I build my house (first I need a loan for the $50,000 I need to pay off the place and put in the septic)
That covers my lights and a few other goodies (all 12VDC LED) but not my well pump

Neat lil project there!:awesomework: Wonder if you could do another one and use it as a battery tender for all those toys ya got!!!:haha:

Day 2

I built the nozzle today and fired it up
I ended up with 23 V on free spinn and 12.8 with the tractor light wired in

Get ahold of me when you need something. I got some good hook ups on solar and inverters

Walk us threw everything if you would...

I'm totally new, but interested...

Do the best I can. I have been poring cement for the last 3 days. Not the easest way. It is all by hand

I hope next week to get onto the fun stuf again

So more wiring today. I still got some clean up to do to make it look nice. But the lights are on
Here is the battery bank. The batteries are in series / parallel. It sums up to 1080 amp hours or 54 hours at a 20 amp draw.

This is the generator start circuit. It monitors the battery voltage and will star the generator if the voltage gets to low. It also monitors the generator hertz for if it goes out of range the controller will shut down the generator before it damages any of the electronics

Here is the control panel. This is programmable for what type of batteries. Charge parameters, cot off point,
