Final Reiter trail specs

I think everything could be solved and everyone or close to it be happy is just in the changing of the wording, from restricted to recommended .....
I think you will see that people will be happy cause no one likes rules that are only aimed at one select crowd..... and we will more then likely see that the bigger rigs will not want to be going down the tight trails anyways....as I stated before I can make it, but why .... it is way too much work for me to squeeze my rig through there when I could be attempting some bad a** obstacle..... That is why I wheel is to make the impossible - not ***** foot thru the forest on a Sunday afternoon drive.....

Just to put the shoe on the other foot real quick.....

Say we Take and close Elbe to all SWB rigs that are 86" and under and place pilings and obstacles to keep the SWB's out and only guys with 40" + tires can go, now would that be fair and all you SWB guys would be okay with that ....

Not saying that it is a good idea but you can kinda feel where I'm coming from especially what happened at Evans Creek.......

I can only hope that you realize that it was the "little jeep" guys that built yes built both Evans and Elbe. Why then is it ok to take these same trails away from the very people that gave up countless hours of their own time and many dollars of their own to build them to make them "usable" for rigs that simply wernt built to fit the trails. On the other hand I am all for building new trails for bigger rigs as long as those people that want them are willing to do the work that we did to get what we have (or had).

I don't agree with this at all.

That's not a fair compairison. If you took one trail at Elbe and closed it to SWB rigs but all the rest were open to everyone that would be the same thing...and I don't think many people would care.

Omg

OMG buggies and jeeps playing together :eeek::eeek::eeek:
The chipmunk with the bag of chips is notjobless himself and thats binders rig behind the heeps. It was a great trip for us :awesomework:

That was a fun trip and I was bald even back then.:booo:

Looks like I pissed my pants too....I probably did as I was scared following those SWB rigs.:haha::flipoff:

Fact is and most of us know this it was the FS that decided to enforce a rule that they had previously ignored.

Yes because they were getting complaints that they were not enforcing the law from other users out there....You think they just came up with this all by themselves.....I personally was out there 2 years ago and caught all kinds of flack from the Jeepers about how I was not suppose to be there and this and that.... After about kicking one of them in their teeth :redneck: there leader told me that they will get the FS to enforce the rule and keep us out....... (Some big named Jeep club) Not saying that is all SWB's but look at what happened and they were right they got it done and now I'll never be back, oh well I guess the state didn't want my $$ for their forest pass that I only used there anymore....

Ya that would go over well Kinda like its recomended to stay on the trail.

What I mean is this thread is about the specs at Reiter and the fact that some people don't like the one trail type with a SWB designation. What persentage of the new Reiter is purple anyhow? Evans is a completely different thing and I may be wrong but to the best of my knowledge evans has no wheel base restrictions.

No you are REQUIRED to stay on the trail period no give or take there, but it SHOULD be recommended for SWB vehicles......

I don't agree with this at all.

well I think you'll find that I'm right......I be for one that hates those damn tight trails in my rig as it is a pain in my a** and takes WAY too much time for no reward......Not saying everyone will agree, but hey we gotta put up with you small tire guys in the trails getting stuck in front of us and blocking off the whole trail while you get pulled out and I drive through the same thing in 2wd....... It's a give and take........

Dude, get over it, there is gonna be 1 SWB trail in the trail system, big woop.

Are you going to want the buggy trails made easier so that your rig can make it also?

100% Agreed :beer::beer:

And again hats off to who ever put all the drawings together on this and can't wait to wheel it no matter what....even if I don't get to go on the "Purple" trails and again hats off to all of you that did step up and making this happen...... :cheer:

You just proved my point. Look at how you are required to stay on the trail and look at how many times thats not followed. Imagine if it was only recommended to stay on the trail how much of a mess it would be out there.

I don't own a SWB rig and I would never damage another users trail but I would be the first person to step up to help maintain that trail at reiter. If we are to succeed we need to all play together regardless if a trail is for a certain user or not. Its just like a single track user who has a quad plow down there trail--do you think they will enjoy it the same--not at all (and thats fact). So why can't we all play together in the same fasion? The matter of the fact we have to.

Well time I heard about this is too late.....blah blah blah......That's not the point if you had so much influence then why did you not speak for all of us instead of just for your group, leaving the rest of us out to hang...... We are all suppose to be a family or a united group as one...... seems in some issues we still be divided in to separate groups.... I guess I'll have to stay more in tune with the things going on and start looking out for the wider guys, since others will not apparently do so on all our parts.....
You make sense to me. I always prefer recomended over required. If you can make it, or squeeze thru, then go for it. Too many variables, and different kinds of rigs that like to wheel together. But like you say regardless I am gonna enjoy it, and thank those who made it happen even if I disagree with some aspects of the new Reiter.

Hey Olywa, having a short wheelbase doesn't mean you have small tires. I am running 36's on my Sami with only about 3 inches more than stock wheelbase and thinking about going bigger. If you are in a full size then you are probably the one blocking the trails when your **** doesn't fit through. :fawkdancesmiley:
