just throwing it out that the july weekend is also the same weekend we rock is scheduled for goldendale (since last year). i know it was a big confusion last year might want to double check your dates!

I know myself and a lot of you are wondering if this is really happening. I wanted to get all the information up to date, so I called and talked to Beau who put on the Best in the West races last year. He told me that he is NOT puting on any Best in the West races this year. There was a misunderstaning when the schedule was posted on facebook. All the dates on that schedule are 4x4 playdays only. The only way there would be an actual race or organized event is if a club or other organization puts it on at the park. The plan for this year is to have playdays and make improvement to the park. So come out and support 4x4 use there, and see if we cant get BITW back next year.

Did Beau go into any details as to WHY he wasn't going to put on any races? Something we can work on to encourage him to host them again in the near future? Or is he just taking time off to concentrate on park improvements instead?

I did not ask about next year, just about this one. I believe last year he had the the extra time to be able to put these on and this year he does not. This is why they are looking for a club who would have more people to split up the time/organizing/promoting to make the events happen\. I believe he will be at the playdays but he will be there to work on improvements and to play.

Hey all, first off id like to say sorry for the confusion on the flyers and face book. BITW will not be holding any racing this year and the biggest reason for it is that I will be taking the weekends that I am at straddleline and using them to complete some projects and build some new obstacles. Straddleline will be hosting some "off-road play days" and I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the trails and campground. I hope you all understand and will come out to see me this summer. Also Straddleline will be hosting the 2nd Annual 4wheel parts customer appreciation day again on April 21st so mark that on your calendar and come out to win some prizes and eat a free lunch while you wheel. . :cheer:

Thanks for the info Beau! I know what it takes to put on events like this and it consumes most of your free time. Thanks for what you do out there and we look forward to next year!:awesomework:

I was hoping to get in on the racing thing this year. Watching the threads and videos of last season had me drooling but the rig just wasn't ready for that kind of treatment. Oh well, I understand.

Making the April 20th playday is a top priority of mine. I'm anxious to see what Straddline has to offer. See you guys there.
