Finally....Da new rig..

Brought the old girl in to start the dirty deed of disassemble...

This damn thing put up a fight. Not just 1 or 2 but all 6 of the inserts spun so i cut the heck outa the seat and thru it out the door.

Sad day for sure..besides the axles what are you re using? Any way you could keep it together while building the new rig?
 
Went to tom toms and picked up the 4.3 vortec--ok its still wrapped around the s-10 but that will be fixed very soon....:bbbball:

Slowly getting there. As stuff is removed its clean and inspected and set aside. The power train and all stuff that I want is off the rig.

So worked the rig 300ft like this to the lower part of my property. Was tricky and flippin dark :redneck:

End of an era but ready for a new start.

So I got the donor s-10 brought in and got the miss fire fixed and a few things checked out--runs like glass...

I found lifting one side of the body up really helped getting the thing out and didn't have to drop the front diff down...

So next is to get the motor all ready but first I had to clean the shop--I utterly destroyed it,lol...

So I had planned on tearing the motor down except the head and crank to inspect it, clean it up and also make sure it had no leaks--anybody who knows me knows I cannot stand dirty crap,lol. Good thing too as it has the common vortec intake gasket failure.

I got the motor all cleaned up real nice and then got it all painted. I also got all the parts cleaned up and ready to make the assembly go smoothly inly to find out I had to make a quick trip this morning to town to get the right timing cover assy.
