ANYBODY ELSE HAD TROUBLE WITH HERO TRANSFER CASE

How about they just put it on there "machine " before it goes out so problems like this don't happen?????? Shouldn't everything be tested?? I know every spa we sell has water in the lines because they were tested. A expensive case shouldn't be any different in my opinion.

You presume we didn't.

We test every case before it goes out the door. It's the whole reason we have a "machine".

And before you make another presumption... Selvey's case passed before it went out the door as does every other case. If a case isn't up to snuff it gets taken apart and not shipped to a customer until it is correct.

I'm sorry every person here doesn't see what we do and what we've done to improve our cases to make them the best you can buy.

I don't see how adding water to the case would help...

To answer your question I did assume it wasn't tested because it was noisy, hot and wouldn't shift from day one.

You and I would agree based on my case as well. Sounds like they've either stepped up the Quality Control that I bitched about two years ago, or the tester is a deaf Helen Keller. :JRich:

i know mine has seen 6800rpm to drive 6800 to 2nd 6800 to 1st and 6800 to reverse so ill go ahead and give it the NICK COOPER SEAL OF APPROVAL..but i just have a lil baby motor so i guess it doesnt count...yes it makes a lil noise that an atlas doesnt BUT so far it hasnt made one big noise the the atlas is known for CLUNK :woot: :woot:

I think it's cool that you have a "machine." It makes me curios what a transfer case testing machine looks like. If not too sensitive can you post pics of it? :smoke:

It's got a hand crank on it that Dookey has to turn over manually, poor guy gets flat out puckered out after 4 or 5 revolutions. :flipoff1:

Bringing this thread back from the dead with some new info on Hero.

Appears Todd sold the Hero portion, accepted payments for orders without placing the orders, and left a mess.

Looks like Hero is trying to correct any ongoing issues with cases out and about but isn't accepting new orders.

Ordered my 3.5:1 case from Ben, one of the new owners a month or so ago. Super nice guy that gave me his personal cell number to call or text if I have any questions. Of course supply chain issues are slowing down everything. Should be early/mid September when it arrives. Also see the new name below.

Also Craig Hunter in the Facebook comments above received his new case yesterday, still with the Hero name.

I had to deal with getting the money back for a Hero case first hand for an overseas friend of mine. Took a long while and help from some nice people with more pull in the industry than I have.

I'm glad we got it back and went to an SCS with ORD underdrive instead.

Dookey first I will say the pictures I have seen of the HERO are impressive but I also know it is an expensive case and should be the best for the money.

I have read comments before regarding the HERO TCase TWF sell's on other forums so I ask is it really ready for the general public or still in R & D?
Can you shed some light on the issues TWF has had with the HERO and what the resolutions have been?

I have interest in a 3 speed case for a future build but been watching and listening to comments. Some good and some not so good but even the good comments were how TWF stood up with warranty and repairs. I commend TWF for taking care of the issues but in the end the T-case had issues that were not tested and checked before shipping.

For clarification I have no first hand experience with the HERO TCase and I am not trying to be negative just get the details.

The most disturbing thing about this is the ad for "PLANT CREAM" at the bottom.
I guess that's supposed to sound "better" than margarine?

yeah and transfer cases too. really expensive transfer cases.
Haha I didn't even notice that first time around. In any context, "plant cream" doesn't sound very appealing.
