which winch rope???

masterpull
i broke my warn 9.0 rc rope last race and am debating on which rope to replace it with

custom splice looks like the same stregth as viking , and master pull is about 7k lbs stronger according to their site

is master pull line worth double the money of custom splice ?

I havent put it on yet but this is what I found. You can tell them you seen it on ebay and can get them for 99.00.

Better you be the guinea pig than me first anyway, if you order one let me know. You can install mine and I can wait for yours to come in.

thats not a bad deal but I can only run 50' of rope the custom splice 3/8 x 50 is $129.00 so thats the best deal probably

I have Viking, and they have gone above and beyond for me. They have spliced mine a few times and last time it broke they just replaced it for free. Tell them you are racing ecors and they will probably hook you up. Talk to Thor, he is a really nice guy. Also if you want to save money, just have them fix your broken rope.

Masterpull is really good also, they provide a lot of support to Ultra4 and have the nicest and strongest stuff IMO. If I didn't already have a relationship with Viking I would run MasterPull

that masterpull has an abrasion guard covering the entire rope, makes it a little stiffer but also helps it to last a LONG time....it's nice stuff

well I shot out a couple of emails with questions and Todd at Custom Splice gave me a call instead of returning my email. I had already looked up his feedback on Pirate and it was all good and his call confirmed that he is a super nice guy that was very knowledgeable. So he said he could custom make me a rope that I needed and it was cheaper than even the ebay ropes. best of all it will ship out in the morning. I will try and get a pic up after it comes in

free bump for Custom Splice, needed another rope so i looked up this old thread, shot Todd and email and got a quick reply and great price - got another rope on the way
