Obviously different races equals different pricing. I'm sure anything in Mexico is more.
But still I bet its retarded! I was told in '09 Roger budgeted $3m for 8 races and he already owned everything. That was just operating cost to do those race.
3 day 1000mile Vegas to Reno was that year, Baja1000, Baja500, San Felipe 250, Parker 425, Mint400, SilverState300, and that TT/Class1 only deal at Laughlin
Rumor or truth I dont know but big bucks to make that truck go down course.

So sick!
Arrive and Drive Trophy Truck | Norman Motorsports & Wide Open Racing

His truck has always looked so much larger than the rest. I think it is the enclosed rear section. It just looks goofy to me.

I did the wide open baja challenge and it was a freaking insane! I was told it is $70k to arrive and drive the BC cars in the 1000 so I would imagine the TT is more in the $100-125k. If you want to do something that is insanely awesome go to BAJA with wide open and do there 5 day excursion I want to say it is like $7000-8000 a person but way worth it. I lucked out and got to go for "work". I was thinking it was going to be lame thinking there is no way they let you drive real race cars but I was quite surprised when we got in the cars to go. There were times when I was running 90-95mph on the actual baja course. I think we hit 105 on the beach. I will post some pics.

I was planning on taking the wife and how I started getting Kirk Dodge updates, then I started building a Class1 and all $$$'s started to go toward it. But I think I need to make this happen for her to "get it".

You got more pics? And what "work" pays for this?

I work in the aftermarket wheel and tire business. We sell a LOT of BFG's and I got invited to go on the baja trip. It was a blast. I'll post some more pics. I took a ton of in car video but we did not realize the camera was getting dusted out so we lost most of it...

I just want to say if you are thinking about going... DO IT! I would go back in a second! The only thing is the Ensanada one at the Horsepower ranch changed hands. I am sure it is still awesome. It would be even better if you took your wife and she was not really digging the driving part because then you could drive the whole time! you switch out driving and co driving with the person you room with. I lucked out because the guy I was with had been 3 or 4 times before and he let me drive the whole last day. We switched about every hour or so the two days before that. One other cool thing about having someone with you that had done it before is we had the gps figured out, he was calling turns and stuff for me so we were really able to haul ass. I will say after I went on this trip I really considered selling all of my belongings and moving out west to go racing. For someone like me that lives on the east coast and does not have anywhere to drive like that it is really indescribable. There is nothing else like doing close to 100mph threw the desert in the woops, wash outs and sliding threw the turns. Not even running my old sprint car was as cool as this buggy in the desert. I can only imagine a TT. I would probably have a heart attack from all of the awesomness... :****:

I've talked to Kirk a handful of times, and exchanged emails about trips and pricing.
You can drive out of Ensenada for a Baja North, or Cabo for a Baja South
Basically the 3 day is $3650-4200 a person w/ Nevada being the more expensive end of the spectrum.

Or Nevada.
They do some 1 & 2 day deals out of Reno, which I think ends up being on Roger Normans land.
1 day is $1055 for single driver and $1595 for double occupancy, and 3 day /2 days of driving is $2698 per person based upon double occupancy.

On the surface if you look at the dollars alone they look expensive, but from a driving standpoint looks very cheap to me. Its seriously arrive and drive, no wrenching, no anything except driving. Thats worth a mint in piece of mind and no stress. Hence why I want to do it, and strap my wife in.

Even if I had to pay out of pocket I would do it again in a second. I have thought about going to Navada to drive the TT's but I am building another dirt track car and that is taking up most of my play money. If I had never been you could not convince me to spend that kind of money to go drive someones car but now that I have done it I think it is worth every penny. :driving:
