What rig(s) did you start out wheeling?

Re: Re: What rig(s) did you start out wheeling?

Started out with a 94 Jeep YJ that I built up over10 years & wheeled quite a bit; but lost interest in it & wanted to go to a buggy.

Had the opportunity to trade it for a very capable Zuk buggy that just needed a lot of cosmetic work but was very sound as far as the drivetrain....so I traded it. The ole' YJ was a good starting rig though. Learned A LOT in that thing. Loved it but don't miss it lol.

Ugly-Buggy: read your tag line and that's and odd motor trans combo for your zuk! They were pretty peppy for what they are in a ranger trk, just never seen anybody put them in something else. As long as it works, rock on!!!

First rig I ever owned..........and this was the first time I ever wheeled it.

1959 (I think) M38A1 with a fiberglass body.
F head 4 banger
4 speed
Dana 18
Dana 25 front
Dana 41 rear
33" boggers on Dukes of Hazzard wheels.

No seat belts!
No power steering
no power brakes
No winch
no lockers
learned to weld on the cage

Took it apart and built this which I wheeled for 10ish years in one form or another.

No pics but a 73 FJ40 all stock with 31x10.50's and a PTO driven winch. After that I had full size Broncos, a total of three, 89, 88, and 84 followed by a 91 F150 that was stolen and I'm still pissed about.... Looking at a Taco or 4Runner for my next rig, leaning heavy for the room of the 4Runner with two children.

1984 Toy, only option was a sliding rear window. It was the best truck a 16 year old could have.

Who in the hell would want a 4 runner when you could have an fj80?

Considering all the pics I saw of women in bikinis with your tube buggy, seeing the pics of an 84 Toyota truck with a lady posted up on the roof made me laugh!

When you've got it you've got I reckon....
