A LESSON LEARNED!

Hey kudos for stepping up and offering to redo the work, I guess people didn't read the fact that when you picked this thing up it was supposed to be running and driving and you spent considerable time actually putting the thing together to even get it back to your shop. There is always 2 sides to a story but it appears most people here immediately jump on the side of the so called victim whether they know the actual truth of the situation or not. Maybe they will learn some self restraint eventually when they get tired of the taste of their feet.

HJPCUMMINS if you are refusing to let the shop fix what you claim they did then it's sounds like your claim wasn't legitimate to begin with.

I'm just trying to find a peaceful resolution to this without all the mudslinging. I have talked to Brice back and forth and he seems like an okay guy. I have no clue what happened with this guys Ftoy but this place isn't supposed to be Pirate4x4. I'm all for shitty work being called out but equally for someone being able to fix it to save face. It's whatever, it's not my rig, :flipgotcha: this thread. Moving on.

Bring me $1600 bucks to f up your ride, and see if that changes your opinion on this thread. The fact that they think this work is acceptable to charge for is a ****ing joke. Even if he had no part of that oh **** handle how do explain the yellow panels? They look like they've been on a buggy with years of trail riding.. Maybe its the new poser thing, pre dented/scratched body panels! laughing1

The only way for this thread to stop or to make it right is to give the mans money
Back, an man up an say. I ****ed up,am sorry,am the worst welder
In the country. maybe the world.

I've been ****ed over plenty of times by shops, the problem around here is you don't have a lot of shops to pick and choose from and I can't throw $$$ at my problems. If I complain and they can fix my **** to my satisfaction I'm fine with that. I'd rather hold someone to their word than throw money and time looking for the perfect shop.

A peaceful resolution would be to let the OP pick a shop to fix all the mistakes and hacked up welding while this guy Brice and big dodge foot the bill. They had a opportunity to do the right thing before they dropped it off, evaded direct questions by text, and even tried putting blame on a mysterious 3rd party at his shop. This thread is comedic in the fact that the OP clearly stated multiple times to fix what was needed and send me a bill. Besides have you seen anything this far that would give you confidence in their fabrication ability?

I wouldn't take my rig back to that hack job. If a shop did that to me ... took my cash and ****ed me. I'd be getting my $ back one way or the other. Maybe in the form of burning the shop owners rig to the ground....
