Project Sexi Sami

it is finished for the most part, Rocket City Offroad made some really nice driveshafts for me, installing the rear tonight, front is already in

going first thing in the morning to have exhaust ran then heading to EOR for new shock springs to get it sitting where it should

unless something happens, I'll be headed to WITC Saturday to test it out

I'll post some pictures tomorrow when I get the springs on

What are the specs on your coilovers? shock travel and spring lengths/rates as they are now before you get new ones from EOR?

I witc open Saturday and how many do you know of that's going? I cant ever seem to find their schedule

14" travel all around
Have 14" 100 over 16" 150 on the front now - with no preload it is 2" too high, rear is sitting on sliders/adjusters

Dang, that's light!

Mine are 14" travel on front, 14" 100 over 16" 200 and I think it is going to be spot on. Sits just right and doesn't have much preload, and feels really stable doing Ricky Bobby moves in the yard lol.

Before, not knowing much at all about coilovers, I'm really surprised at how light of spring rates work for rigs like ours. I really expected my 100/200 combo to be wayyyy too light, but they seem to be spot on. I guess where a lot of people mess up, is not going with long enough springs (lacking the spring rate progression that comes with preload?) and maybe try to compensate with higher spring rates? Idk, I just like seeing specs and what works for different rigs. Thanks and sorry for minor thread jack, carry on :dblthumb:

After you run it some post and tell us how the brakes are Im curious how the stock master cylinder works with the 1/2 ton calipers Im fixing to build one later this year and me and Smurfy have talked about this let us know if you dont mind

so far so good, I'll report back after this weekend

Huge thanks to Essentially Offroad - we got the springs swapped yesterday and lowered the nitrogen pressure also - Jimmy knows his stuff on coilovers :****:

buggy looks tricked out Daniel, great job. loller.gif thumb.gif
I need to get with you later on when I get close to
coilover spring rates. I figure mine will be close to what you
ended up with.

DAMN! I've been starring at those pics for the past 10 minutes. At first I thought the sexi sami name was kinda ghey :flipoff1:......but it's definitely fitting for it!

1.) I'm still amazed at how fast you built this.

2.) Did I mention that thing is sexi? :driving:

Thanks guys, I tried to throw it together quick so I wouldn't miss spring riding season

Was just talking about that earlier. It'll be 100 degrees outside before you know it. I quit riding then, so I'm about to blow out somewhere about every weekend til it gets too hot! Hope things go good for you this weekend with it, we def need to get a ride together soon!
