Going with the 1.6 8 valve? I've got one of those sitting here...had planned on sticking with the stock 1.3l intake and my Toyota carb to avoid wiring. Only problem I'm dealing with with the carb is flooding slightly on downhills and drop offs. I want to continue to avoid additional wiring so looks like propane might be my future.

Yes 1.6 8V, wiring is super simple with propane

Did you piece together your propane setup or go with the GotPropane kit?

it was on the engine when i got it, but I am pretty sure it is a Got Propane kit

should work good - the 1.3 crawls perfect and the 1.6 has a good bit more power than it

thanks man - i picked up the 1.6 last night, looking forward to getting it in - will probably wait until it gets too hot to ride before i tear it down.

Thanks for sharing...I'm with you on the motor swap...I believe I'll get a few more rides out of the 1.3 then when it's 100+ outside I'll tear it apart since I won't be going wheeling anyway.

What yall doin with them 1.3's when they come out,,,they done got new homes :dunno: ,,,I still run em so yall holler at me if yall gone scrap em :dblthumb:

little update - swapped out the Trail Tough Mighty Kong T-case mount for the Low Range Offroad E.O.S. mount

ended up putting tender coils on the rear which allowed me to drop the rear about an inch

added some door bars which i really like, feels a lot safer now and added some additional roof support

time to swap in the 1.6 now, plan to start disassembly this weekend

Looks great! I know I was really happy once I added the door bars to mine. I had gotten tired of that corner of the door opening stabbing me in the arm...now the door bar serves as my armrest.

Swapping in the 1.6 shouldn't be much work on yours since you're running pane...I'm currently wiring up my 1.6 EFI.

Haha I thought it already had the 1.6 in it. I told one of them guys that was watching you beat it on that slick spot that it was a 1.6 lol. They said "man the motor in that thing does really good for what it is, it that the 1.6?" I said yeah I believe it is haha….oops

Diggin the new door bars. Kinda completes the tube work IMO on this one.

Any reason for the switch to KRT-B's over the Krawlers?

So whatd you think of the KRT's compared to the Krawlers?

They each have their place - the KRTs hooked better in the smooth rocks, they lack traction in the mud which is to be expected - I'll probably run them until we get back from KOH then switch to the new KRs
