I'm getting into the final stages of my V8 swap. It's a 94' Toyota ext. cab, linked rear with leafs up front. GM D60/14B, full hydro, etc....
I've installed a 6.0/4L80E/Atlas.
The problem I'm having with the front DS seems to be quite common. When going from the Atlas to the 60, I'm getting VERY close to the trans pan. I currently have a Toyota Flange on the axle, with a Non-cv 1350 on the case. At ride height the angle isn't too bad, but gets substantially worse as it droops. I have always ran a square shaft up front with the yota stuff, but my trans/cases were a lot longer. The square stuff is way too big for my new drivetrain.
Due to how my front tube is, I can't push the axle out without a lot of rework. I really don't want to cut the mount back out and offset the motor either.
So the question is, are there any good options as far as small diameter front driveshafts? Junkyard shafts? New?
