Where did your axle shafts go.
front ring and pinion broke. My drive train. Guy charges me less if I go on and tear it down. Don't even have a carrier in it right now

Well the new ring and pinion showed. I had RCV treat the gears and as always they are one of the best companies in the buisness to deal with. I spoke with them about the process at the expo and they seemed excited about the awesome results they have had. I had my yota gears treated way back in the day and never broke another set. This will be the real world test. Within the next few weeks I should have the baddest lp 60 in the country and I promise the set up will be tested to the limits.

what brand of gears did you break and which brand did you have cryo'd?
I "think" I broke usa. These are yukons. It was a 60 and these will be 70 with a load bolt so I don't think manufacturers could be compared on this. But I do agree the gear brand makes a difference

Re: Mash yer motor - Csc fab buggy

Re: Mash yer motor - Csc fab buggy

Jon has been pretty busy lately so I figured I'd post some pics of the Jana76 conversion progress ...

Re: Mash yer motor - Csc fab buggy

I will say the kit is not that big of a deal to do. Basically jantz has it figured out and has the different spacers and bearings labeled that the biggest part is grinding to make everything fit. The load bolt was actually the hardest part but it was because my lower link mount was in the way of drilling a straight hole. The parts are deff much beefier and with the rcv treated gears I should have no issues!
