This is the most depressing thread, i feel terrible for you man!
You have no idea. I won't tackle the interior or seat slider but I am gonna fix the drivetrain and a few other things myself. The plan I have requires no bending and I figure if batshit, labron, and kush "midget porn" krawlin can notch tube I can too. When I dive off into it I will take some pics. Still gotta run pick my new Sawzall up and get it washed. The power steering reservoir exploding and then racing it the next day made a nasty mess

Speaking of the small fire cold fire is a badass product and if you aren't running them you are wasting money

I don't know you from Adam Lee's house cat( >:D) but man I feel horrible for you. You have handled this situation like a gentleman.

Re: Mash yer motor - Csc fab buggy

This just sucks. So your plan to try and stiffen chassis yourself, or you building whole new chassis?

I'm gonna solid mount everything and straighten it all up. Then let somebody that knows what they are doing fix interior. The wiring issue is because it nearly burned to the ground but I will let whoever does interior deal with that. Apparently since the firewall has no bracing it flexes enough to crack the welds on a bought name brand power steering cooler. Hydraulic fluid and headers don't mix. :****:

Everytime it gets a bath I find cracked welds in the belly. Looks like I gotta fix this while I got the saw and the welder out.

Hey man don't tempt me. Fixing all 4 lower link mounts is gonna suck. I don't know if it was welder or the belly flexing so much

I'm not disagreeing or standing up for anyone here, but I don't see a crack in this picture. There appears to be some porosity, and possible slag inclusions, or spots of cold lap. is that what you're talking about fixing?

Re: Mash yer motor - Csc fab buggy

It's hard to see in the pics but it's cracked. It goes all the way around the tab. The weld pent rated chassis but not tab. I have 2 more pics I will switch to tap a talk and post but they are just as shitty quality. I'm deff not an expert but I don't think the contamination deal your talking about won't run an exact line with the side of a weld against the material. Even if that is the case it looks like a good starting of a weak point since it wasn't the before hot springs and is now

It's really hard to see but this is the side view. You can see on the front side the lower part of the weld on chassis side is doing same thing.
