The battery in my 2010 GMC diesel was dead as Bruce Jenner's hopes of becoming Mr. America, and I threw my jump box on it and it cranked right up first time. There are multiple ratings for them, so if you have a diesel engine, they have one for that strength. thumb.gif

I bought this one yesterday. We will definitely test it to the max

My mother in law bought a new Toyota SUV a couple years ago, it came with one of these. She gave it to me and I just tossed in a junk drawer in my tool box. After reading all this I think I'll dig it out and charge it. One of my mustangs is sitting with a dead battery right now, I'll try it on that. Mines a zeta by jackco

I have one in the tow rig, one in my DD and the wife has one in her car. She works for the county and is organizing the surplus auction this year and came in bragging yesterday that she jumped an F450 with no batteries. It hadn't been started in 6-8 mos. She said the water dept guys were laughing at her when she pulled it out of her car but when the old truck busted off and they all were quiet.

Re:

These stories were fish stories till I got one. Jumped the tractor yesterday and jumped the buggy today. Need to charge it already

Bought one from my old Mac tools guy 3 years ago. Was one of the earlier odd ball brands. I used it quite a bit, and was really happy with it. I screwed up and left it in my truck for about 3 weeks, with the sun hitting it during the summer. The batteries overheated I guess and killed it. The case was swollen something fierce!
I need to buy another one.

Saw this yesterday at the store and thought about this thread. Seems like a good deal. I may pick up a couple for Christmas gifts and one for me

Not real sure actually. The specifications on the Menards site were pretty vague. Just said it would work on 4,6,8 cylinder engines and would start vehicle in 5-15 minutes.

I would look a little closer at box before buying but I saw them on my way out of store and the price caught my eye

Re:

Yep, need to know the stats and I may be sending you some doll hairs. Cheap, cheap and cheap.
