For anyone that's never seen this buggy, heres its story. Our buddy joey wanted to race. So this buggy was built originally to xrra specs but made sure to also make it KOH legal as well. When we finally got it finished, xrra disbanded and it never got to race it. Xrra was very short track racing w rocks mixed in, like the arena races they have now, so the original chassis was tiny. I'll try to find some pics of it back then. It had Ls6 w Texas speed heads and cam, I forget which trans to a 205 and a dodge front 60 (swapped to Chevy or ford eventually, but its been too long to remember for sure) and 14 bolt rear.
Since it was koh legal, decided to try his hand at that. Took it to the first Harlan koh qualifier. Immediately barrel rolled it at about 60 mph, totaling the chassis. Since it was now going to try ultra 4, the chassis was rebuilt to the current larger size to allow some storage, albeit not much. It then ran rausch creek, badlands and a few other short course and koh qualifiers. He never did try koh, just ended turning it into more of a trail rider. It was the baddest, fastest, best riding, jumping buggy I've ever riddden/driven in. It flat out gets it. Then he got married and had a kid. End of story......
Hus wife loves riding, so they got a sxs and take the kid riding in it, till he gets the new buggy done.
Glad to see its getting redone right.
