Learning my bender

Here is a bumper that i made up yesterday.Its almost done.I still have to mount the fare lead and brace the corners of it.

Looks good brian...

But the next time you do one. On the part below the winch with the 3 lil stringers. You want those at more of an angle and not so horizontal. You have to remember what forces are aplied to the winch under a very hard pull. You want the area below the winch to act as a lever---as it pulls it push's against the bottom of the frame. Its a proven method I have been doing for a long time. But looks good dude...

It is at the bottom of the frame.Below that is the drop spring hanger.Should i have mounted it to that?

I hoping i get better.My first time using it i had an un happy customer.This is the second time i have used it and it looks better.Next i have to do rock sliders and then a rear bumper on the same truck.So far the owner seems very happy with what i have done.The only problem im am having now is getting the notches on either end to land in the right spot.Like one side will have two defferent angles than the other side .Tube work is not easy at all.

looks good brian. where are you going to go with the support? the out side of the frame inside the fenders? thats what i do when i do bumpers.

experience is the best teacher....looks like your figuring it out. I don't know **** about tube work, but clean tight notching is what sets ones work apart from the rest.

Got the bending down but still working on getting the notching down.I getting better every time i play with the notcher tho.
